At the start of spring I open a trench
in the ground. I put into it
the winter's accumulation of paper,
pages I do not want to read
again, useless words, fragments,
errors. And I put into it
the contents of the outhouse:
light of the sun, growth of the ground,
finished with one of their journeys.
To the sky, to the wind, then,
and to the faithful trees, I confess
my sins: that I have not been happy
enough, considering my good luck;
have listened to too much noise;
have been inattentive to wonders;
have lusted after praise.
And then upon the gathered refuse
of mind and body, I close the trench,
folding shut again the dark,
the deathless earth. Beneath that seal
the old escapes into the new.
I found this on the website Inward/outward. My High school coach father kirby just returned from Israel. He showed me this neat site!

The Weather.
Whoa. I do not mean "the weather." Like the weather that people in office cubicles discuss until their hair falls out. I don't mean the local on the 8's or the incessant bother that can effect a mood, day, or activity. I mean- THE WEATHER. ...
is intense, and powerful, and scenic, and OH MY GOSH. I can not stop looking out my window. God is amazing. I feel so little and powerless and I love it.
Hold on blog! (I am going to take pictures on ma IPHONE).

Back!
The past 24 hours has been so CRAZY. 83 degrees to intense sweat and humidity to dropping twenty degrees in an hour to watching a storm to sleeping to a storm to waking up to forty degrees and intense intense wind to trying to run against the wind to being pushed by the wind to beautiful beautiful skies to hail warnings to tornado warnings to wind advisories to things being blown over by the wind to trees breaking to warmer weather to.....
The Storm. Is Magical.
My narrative of the storm. It was so BEAUTIFUL AND AWESOME AND INSPIRING. I laid on the porch. I got my feet wet. I breathed in the worm smell. I lived. For an hour of my life I just was. I listened. I slept with the windows open. I got cold. I got cozy. I woke up to a breeze. I love the experiences that are raw and real and simple and pure and full of emotion. They are unplanned and JUST SO SO..... wordless.

Pictures
The fond memories of Palo Alto.
But even fonder ones of Iowa: I may quote myself again. There is nothing better than laying in the sun and having a picnic.
Myspace anyone?
The Best.
The very best moments are those times when everything seems so clear to you for a single moment. The times when you have been so confused and the pieces all fit together. Sometimes these moments only last for a minute or a second, but for that time the world is so simple, so easy. Sometimes these moments bring tears because they simplify the burdens and complexities of life into one single stream lined thought.
There is nothing better to me than a pure thought.
There is nothing better to me than a pure thought.

Yumm! (I would recommend keeping frozen to avoid the falling apart factor).
